• When he was 16, his dad died, leaving him the head of the house.  This taught him how to be a leader.
• He was elected military tribune, so he had the potential to be a great general.
• He formed many alliances that kept him successful.
• Caesar treated the common folk with respect, so they respected him.
• He was a chief priest which made his religion strong.

Tragic Flaws

• He let all his power go to his head.
• He thought he was invincible.
• He thought everyone liked him.
• Caesar didn't listen to his wife.
• His ambition was carried to far.
• He was too proud.

Brutus

• He became the leader of the conspiracy.
• He told the group in the conspiracy not to kill Mark Antony.
• He didn't want to kill Caesar.
• He has a loving relationship with his wife, and they respect each other.

Tragic Flaws

• He did not think the plan through.
• He put Rome before his friendships.
• His devotion to Rome caused him to lose his wife.
• He was naive about the conspirators' motive.
• He was too trusting.
• He thought everyone had the same intentions as he did
